Rest Less, a digital community, advocate and financial services platform for people aged 50+ has today announced the acquisition of Mirthy, an award-winning digital platform offering online events, classes and content aimed at reimagining retirement.

Inspired by his retired parents, Alex Ramamurthy, alongside co-founder Dhruv Haria, launched Mirthy in 2020 to reimagine retirement and tackle loneliness.  Today, Mirthy has more than 40,000 members and offers 100 events a month to its members.  It operates a freemium subscription model, with premium subscribers paying £5 a month to access unlimited events and talks.  Mirthy has a network of more than 200 event hosts, offering everything from fitness classes to history lectures.

As part of the acquisition, Rest Less welcomes Abbie Jessop, Head of Events and Mahalia Connor, Head of Community Engagement, to the Rest Less team.

Alex Ramamurthy joins Antler’s accelerator program’s UK cohort starting in February where he expects to continue to focus on age-tech innovation.  Co-founder, Dhruv Haria will be taking some time out for family before exploring and launching his next venture. 

Mirthy is Rest Less’s first acquisition after raising more than £6 million in its Series A funding round in Q4 2022.
